STR’s ePropertyPlus^TM is today’s preferred solution for land banks, redevelopment authorities, and other community development entities across the U.S. tasked with putting vacant and blighted homes and sites back to good use. Developed in consultation with Center for Community Progress and Michigan land banks, ePropertyPlus^TM delivers operational efficiency, transparency to the public, and exceptional cost controls. A cloud-based SaaS solution, ePropertyPlus^TM provides end-to-end parcel inventory data management from and can be deployed quickly and with minimal intrusion on staff and business operations.

We Bring Families Home

Since 2006, STR’s core eGrantsPlus® platform has served as the system supporting the $8 billion HUD/CDBG-funded Road Home homeowner-rebuilding program for victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. eGrantsPlus® tracks grants dispersed to over 150,000 residents affected by these catastrophic storms.

STR has also provided the system of record for disaster recovery programs in Mississippi, New Jersey, and again in Louisiana to help families move back into their homes devastated by floods in 2016.

STR’s eGrantsPlus® is the enterprise-wide grants management COTS software product solution for federal agencies and state governments seeking a fully Web-based platform to support end-to-end grants management. From the creation of a grant program and the announcement of a funding opportunity through application submission and evaluation; selection; award; outcomes-based financial and progress reporting; and claims processing – eGrantsPlus® lets departments manage the entire process and deliver exceptional transparency, efficiency, and accountability for our partners and the public-at-large.

Our Leadership Team

The STR Leadership Team comprises insightful professionals with decades of expertise in providing effective solutions to public and private sector clients.

Scott K. Meyer - Founder and President

Mr. Meyer provides overall business leadership and program oversight to all major STR projects, including on-the-ground strategic support and relationship management for STR.Grants' work with the State of Louisiana Road Home program and the Louisiana Land Trust, a nonprofit formed to manage residential properties acquired by the State as part of its post-Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. Prior to founding STR, he was with the BDM Corporation ("BDM") where he started as a staff member in 1975, subsequently becoming a Vice President.

Robert J. Fries - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Fries joined STR in 2004 as General Manager for the eGrantsPlus® application software product. In 2005, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer for STR, L.L.C. and each of the subsidiaries. Prior to joining STR, Mr. Fries was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for MARC Global Holdings, Inc. from 2000 to 2004, where he was responsible for the global management of all financial and administrative functions for this million software product and solutions firm.

Brian White - Director of Strategic Engagement

Brian White is a mission-motivated community development professional able to exercise strategic leadership and create social impact in the fields of community development, social entrepreneurship and sustainability. In his capacity as Director of Strategic Engagement for Community Development, Brian and other STR team members work with current and prospective clients to leverage data, information and technology to advance comprehensive community revitalization strategies. His work utilizes his diverse expertise in land banks; affordable housing; real estate finance; community banking and lending; public policy; fair housing; multifamily housing development and finance; planning; financial literacy; and related topics. With over 18 years of experience, Brian has been recognized for innovative program design, commitment to social justice, and competence in business management. <

Prior to joining STR, Brian founded Communities by Design, a boutique community development consulting practice focused on many of the same areas. He also served as the first Executive Director of the Cook County Land Bank Authority, was the regional CRA manager for Charter One Bank in Illinois, and was the founding Executive Director of Lakeside Community Development Corporation, a 501c3 neighborhood housing and community development organization. Brian has a MA in Public Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also worked on a PhD.

Susan Roarke - Customer Success Director

Dedicated to helping each of our customers get the most out of their investment in ePropertyPlus, Susan brings a passionate, practical approach to her duties as a trusted advisor and customer advocate. She oversees the planning and execution of all ePropertyPlus onboarding, training, support, integration, and implementation activities and makes sure that every customer receives knowledgeable and responsive contact with the ePropertyPlus team throughout their tenure as a customer. Susan also acts as the "voice of the customer" internally, advocating their needs back to our product development, sales, and executive management teams.

Suresh Thalluri - Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Thalluri is responsible for the overall strategic and architectural direction of ePropertyPlus. He has over 12 years of experience in enterprise application end to end development, solution design, relationship management and operations management. By utilizing a variety of leading edge, vendor and open source technologies, he has led multiple teams in transforming complex processes into powerful and intuitive software.

Susan Carr - Business Development

Susan Carr’s career has been spent primarily with start-up technology firms that apply technology to solving real world problems. At STR, she is committed to helping public sector organizations apply innovation, data and technology to make smarter decisions that ultimately help create healthier communities and address the community development challenges they face. She brings a keen understanding of how technology can serve as a change agent in the workplace, delivering improved productivity, better resource allocation, and improved job satisfaction.

Susan’s grounding in community development began at the University of California- Berkeley, where she worked with a nonprofit that helped other nonprofits create small businesses. After graduating with a degree in Political Economy from the College of Natural Resources, Susan applied her keen interest in resource utilization and sustainability to the tech industry in Northern California. She worked for three different technology start-ups and became an advocate for technology that is both practical and can help solve real world problems concerning resource utilization and environmental sustainability.
