We Build Stronger Communities
STR’s ePropertyPlusTM is today’s preferred solution for land banks, redevelopment authorities, and other community development entities across the U.S. tasked with putting vacant and blighted homes and sites back to good use. Developed in consultation with Center for Community Progress and Michigan land banks, ePropertyPlusTM delivers operational efficiency, transparency to the public, and exceptional cost controls. A cloud-based SaaS solution, ePropertyPlusTM provides end-to-end parcel inventory data management from and can be deployed quickly and with minimal intrusion on staff and business operations.
We Bring Families Home
Since 2006, STR’s core eGrantsPlus® platform has served as the system supporting the $8 billion HUD/CDBG-funded Road Home homeowner-rebuilding program for victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. eGrantsPlus® tracks grants dispersed to over 150,000 residents affected by these catastrophic storms.
STR has also provided the system of record for disaster recovery programs in Mississippi, New Jersey, and again in Louisiana to help families move back into their homes devastated by floods in 2016.
We Put Grants to Work
STR’s eGrantsPlus® is the enterprise-wide grants management COTS software product solution for federal agencies and state governments seeking a fully Web-based platform to support end-to-end grants management. From the creation of a grant program and the announcement of a funding opportunity through application submission and evaluation; selection; award; outcomes-based financial and progress reporting; and claims processing – eGrantsPlus® lets departments manage the entire process and deliver exceptional transparency, efficiency, and accountability for our partners and the public-at-large.

Our Leadership Team
The STR Leadership Team comprises insightful professionals with decades of expertise in providing effective solutions to public and private sector clients.
Prior to joining STR, Brian founded Communities by Design, a boutique community development consulting practice focused on many of the same areas. He also served as the first Executive Director of the Cook County Land Bank Authority, was the regional CRA manager for Charter One Bank in Illinois, and was the founding Executive Director of Lakeside Community Development Corporation, a 501c3 neighborhood housing and community development organization. Brian has a MA in Public Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also worked on a PhD.
Susan’s grounding in community development began at the University of California- Berkeley, where she worked with a nonprofit that helped other nonprofits create small businesses. After graduating with a degree in Political Economy from the College of Natural Resources, Susan applied her keen interest in resource utilization and sustainability to the tech industry in Northern California. She worked for three different technology start-ups and became an advocate for technology that is both practical and can help solve real world problems concerning resource utilization and environmental sustainability.
